Health Check

You might think that if your computer turns on and runs OK, then there are no problems. However the truth is – with computers, there are often problems present that you’re not aware of. For example your computer might contain hardware that’s at risk of overheating. You probably won’t be aware of this until your computer stops working one day.

We always recommend that customers do some regular maintenance themselves to help prevent problems such as overheating. Simply cleaning the inside of your computer can go a long way to preventing problems. Cleaning your computer is very easy to do and could easily prevent any problems that are caused by overheating. You should check the inside of your computer every six months to check for a build-up of dust.

Virus Removal

Many modern viruses can infect your computer even when antivirus software is installed, and some are very hard to remove using the usual tools. We have the knowledge and experience to remove them by hand, including virus droppers, worms, trojans, rootkits, spyware and rogue programs.

Program Installation

Installing software can be time-consuming, especially across several computers.

We can install and set up your programs at a time that suits you, out of hours if needed, so your work isn’t disrupted. For home customers, we install software at a time and place that suits you.

Upgrades

Is your machine running slow but you’re not quite ready to buy a new computer? We are able to help you with many computer upgrades you may need, such as memory, SSDs, graphics cards, motherboards and processors. We can fit, configure and test any combination of components available.
If you have decided the time has come for a new laptop or desktop we can also help you by supplying a new system and helping you set it up.

Wireless Networking & WiFi Issues

Most homes now have more than one computer and so the need for wireless (or, if necessary, wired) networks becomes more relevant. A wireless network is easy to manage, and offers flexibility by enabling you to use your laptop, iPad or smartphone anywhere in the house or garden.

A network environment also enables several users to access the internet at once – so no more family arguments! A further advantage of creating a home network is that it provides the opportunity to keep unsightly equipment, such as the printer, in another room. PC Systems can set you up with a secure home network and help you with any WiFi issues you may be experiencing such as poor coverage or connection problems.

Laptop Screen Replacement

Screens crack easily, and backlights can fail, much like a light bulb. Also, screens can be plagued with clusters of dead pixels, vertical lines on the screen, or the ribbon cable can get pinched or damaged. We can fix all LCD and LED screen issues.

Is it cheaper to buy a new computer or repair yours? We will help you decide if your computer is worth repairing or not. With our affordable, competitive prices it is almost always a good choice to repair the computer you already own, use, and love.

Windows Upgrade

Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 in October 2025, so it no longer gets security fixes and those computers are more exposed to viruses and scams. We can check whether your computer can run Windows 11 and upgrade it for you, or help you choose a new one and move everything across.
